REFEREE RECORDER is a Smart App & Device platform that offers a smart solution for recording important moments from every match. This unique software was created from the referee for the referees so that they no longer have to spend their free time editing videos.
The referees can use the clicker to mark selected situations already during the match and thus have the final cut processed easily and automatically immediately after the game. It is enough to upload any video footage of the match to the application or connect it using a web address. The app then processes a montage from the last 25 seconds before the button is pressed. The user can change the length, add tags and/or comments and also share them with other referees.
Referees of senior competitions across sports have to make video outtakes of matches they whistle. REF.REC helps them reduce output preparation time to a minimum.

What We Struggled With
Adapting the app to all sports.
REF.REC is primarily aimed at basketball referees, but it is far from over. It supports football, hockey and other sports.
We discover uncharted waters.
By this point, the referees had their handwritten notes in their hands after the game and hours of video editing awaited them. We're developing something new that hasn't been here before.

A “clicker” is added to the REF.REC web application, with which the referee indicates interesting situations in the match. We managed to convince both platforms to communicate with each other without difficulty. When the clicker is connected to Ref.rec, all captured times are automatically transferred to the application.
A large amount of data.
Working with video entails above-standard storage requirements. Moreover, the video is technologically specific.
Web application bridging.
We combined ReactJS with a unique solution for switching web applications with a bridge to serve native functionalities such as NFC, which helped to achieve massive cost savings.
The magic of REF.REC is in its simplicity. After or during a match, the referee simply attaches the “clicker” to his mobile phone and has clipped clips from the entire match immediately available in his app.
REF REC is an example of a project that solves a real problem and is not just a dream application with no practical use.
